We begin this time not so deep in the past, but in 2010. Chad (Zachary Quinto of “Margin Call” and “Star Trek”) is decorating the house for Halloween while Patrick (Teddy Sears) is about to head to the gym, where, we learn, he’s been cheating on Chad with his trainer. Why don’t they split up already? Because they are connected by their investment in the house.
They, like the Harmons, are victims of the bad economy and can’t unload the place, and so Chad wants to dress the place up really nicely for Halloween to attract some good attention. Only he’s having trouble nailing the details–down to the color of the apples in the bobbing station–and Patrick isn’t exactly helping. Later in the day, as Chad works on decorating, the S&M demon shows up, only Chad thinks it’s Patrick finally falling in line with the whole Halloween thing. Chad starts to flirt with him, but S&M guy isn’t in the mood. He throws Chad around the room before snapping his neck face down in the bobbing barrel. Patrick shows up dressed as a cowboy and gazes in horror at the scene. You have to think he’s going to suffer the same fate as Chad.
